I bought this for my father who has dementia.
Delivery was very quick.
It took several days of repetition for him to understand that he has to turn the machine over when the alarm sounds to get his tablets.
In my opinion, the clear lid design is better (we have also tried the solid lid design). The clear lid shows the amount of tablets in each compartment and when a refill is due.
This machine could be a problem if you have lots of tablets to take or have large tablets. Each compartment is fixed and VERY small (one index finger size).
Overall the product works well for us.
Received as promised, found instructions a bit harder to follow, not quite as simple to set up as the one loaned to us by NHS. Once I had 'sussed' out each function, it now works perfectly ok for us (only been using it for a couple of weeks).
My partner (who has dementia) is taking his correct tablets at the correct times, so less stress for me.
This is fantastic- my mum now takes her medication each day at the right time and has not forgotten to take them.
Found the Set-Up Instructions a bit hard to follow. Lock key a bit awkward to use. Tabtime works & is reliable (2 weeks' experience so far).
Learnt that if we are out during a dispense alarm, the alarm eventually stops ringing but the light still flashes. Useful to know to limit battery drain. Prior to going out, we had taken the batteries out but also learnt that the alarm settings were retained for 18 hours without batteries so we only had to reset the time.
Easy to see what has been taken and stops mum taking tablets before she is supposed to!
She hasn’t remembered how to get the tabs out yet but hoping this will eventually come
