Relish's Jobs Conversation Game is a fun and stimulating activity for people with dementia, designed to spark lively conversation and encourage friendly debate about jobs and careers. In-depth and interesting discussions often come to light when people start chatting about their jobs, and what they liked about them (or didn't!). Is a hairdresser a harder worker than an accountant? Or perhaps you had made friends with the local baker who would sometimes sneak you baked goods? There's absolutely no limit to where conversations about these topics can go!

Designed and developed with people in the early to mid-stages of dementia, the tiles and large dice are made for easy handling, even for those with dexterity issues, and the careers featured on the cards are reminiscent of days gone by. The idea of using cognitive associations is to actively stimulate the mind, and discover more about the thoughts and opinions of those around you. Careers to many people form a huge part of our overall lives and identities, and in discussing past jobs, a real sense of pride, purpose, and joy is encouraged in people with dementia.
