Brilliant little invention that has really helped with reminding mum to take her medication. My only negative would be I wish it was louder for when mum doesn’t have her hearing aids in, but so far it is working perfectly.
Bought for a dementia sufferer, this was just what we needed. The set up was a bit fiddly but the video helped. So far it has worked as it should. The only minor snag is the carousel doesn't line up exactly with the dispenser slot. Overall good product.
It was easy to set up. It's reassuring that pills can only be taken at the direct dose at the right time of day.
I'm just waiting to see how long the batteries last
Bought for my husband he’s getting used to it slowly but at least he can’t take the wrong medication as it only allows him to take specific ones when the alarm sounds
Definitely a good product for someone who regularly forgets to take medication
The unit and stand works well but there could be improvements to make it better in future. My mum is partially sighted and has dimensia and needs a lot of tablets. She can not see if tablets have emptied into the bowl or not. I also have to break one big tablet to fit it in and tablets can get stuck so in needs to go past vertical and be bashed against the end point a could of times to be sure.
She initially tip it up just to vertical and only some tablets came out. She seems to be doing better now though. Perhaps angle the unit down say 30 degrees by default when the plastic is horizontal so when vertical it means it has actually passed vertical so more chance of tabs coming out.
