Ordered this machine after 89 year old mum took 5 lots of medication in one go from a blister pack. Now she can only get her daily medication.2 weeks in we are now in a settled routine and life has got better for everyone involved.
I bought this for my mum who has dementia. We had a few problems with dosset boxes, and i found this dispenser on the internet. We have jist started using it but it will stop all the problems we had.
My mother has Alzheimers and dementia and got so confused by her blister packs that she never took her tablets. I live a couple of hours away so cannot manage her medication on a daily basis so I thought I would try this product. It really is fantastic. At first Mum said no to it but I asked her to try it for a month and after a day she was over the moon with it. No more confused conversations over the phone about her medication and she now takes everything with ease everyday. I chose the solid lid so she can only see the tablets that come out on the day she needs them to avoid confusion. For anyone with memory problems it's a must have in my opinion :)
Product was exactly what we needed for the more elderly and forgetful types. Works very well.
This machine really makes life with my wife, who has dementia, so much easier. I had a problem programming the alarms but customer service (Mon, Wed, Fri) sorted it out in a quick call and it's now working perfectly. Highly recommend this product. Yes, it's a bit pricey but worth every penny.
